Come enjoy the summer in the south of France in Marseille, the dynamic center of marvelous Provence, in a fully furnished, sunlit, spacious apartment in excellent condition.

It's a 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath apartment available for a short-term rental from mid-June until mid August

The apartment is located in the chic 6th arrondissement, close to fashionable boutiques, the Prefecture, the U.S. Consulate, the Vieux-Port (a 10-minute walk). Beaches are a short bus ride away. A metro station is one block away and many bus lines are nearby. Underground parking is available nearby.

The apartment is located on two levels, the entire 4th and 5th floors (in US terms). There is no elevator.

Downstairs are two living rooms, one with a spacious dining table and area, a good sized kitchen with a dishwasher and a breakfast table, a half bath. Cable TV with CNN and other English language channels, high speed internet wifi, and telephone are available at a reasonable extra monthly cost.

Upstairs are three good sized bedrooms, a separate shower accessed from one bedroom, a bathroom with a bath and hand held shower, a large sink, and a washing machine. Adjoining the master bedroom and the bath is a terrace facing (south) away from the street. The terrace is large enough for a table and chairs.

Each bedroom has its own heating and air conditioning unit.

Downstairs, you will find large windows on each side of the building, giving a good flow of fresh air and plenty of sunlight, and views to an inside garden on one side and to the roofs of classic 19th century buildings, including that of the Bank of France.

The apartment is quiet as it is located on a side street.

Besides exploring exciting Marseille, you can easily visit all the sights of Provence by car or train or sometimes by bus: Aixe-en-Provence is only 21 miles away, Arles, Avignon, Cassis, Bandol, the Luberon, Les Baux, Gordes. If you like to hike, the Calanques (fjord-like narrow bays) are a short bus ride away.
